Release notes 2026.09_02

Bulk contact upload now available

This release introduces a self-service bulk contact upload capability in Grid Review that allows administrators to add multiple contacts to firms through a single upload process, instead of creating users one at a time.

How it works

Once this feature is turned on for your firm, firm administrators will see a new option to upload contacts in bulk.

Here is what the process looks like:

  • Download a template spreadsheet and fill in the details for each new user you want to add. Each upload can include up to 200 new contacts at a time.
  • Once your file is ready, upload it to Grid Review.
  • The system validates your file and shows a preview of the contacts ready to be added.
  • If any rows in your file fail validation, for example, missing information or a duplicate user, those rows are flagged. Valid user rows can still be added.
  • Once you add your new contacts, you will receive a summary confirming the successfully created accounts.
  • New users automatically receive an email so they can activate their account and get started right away.

Please note:

  • If your organization uses single sign-on, new users will access the system through your existing sign-on process instead of receiving an activation email.
  • If your firm is part of a group firm, the group firm's administrator can use bulk upload to create users in any firm in the group. If you administer a firm within a group, reach out to your group firm's administrator for new user creation.

Getting started

This feature is being rolled out to organizations individually. If you would like this capability enabled for your account, please reach out to your Moody's representative, who can help you get set up. For instructions on using this feature, see the online help guide for Grid user administration.

Clearer guidance for Inquiry Full History searches

This release introduces Inquiry Full History search validation safeguards to prevent excessively broad searches that can result in long-running queries and eventual failures. Searches submitted with a date range and only an asterisk in the Name, Tracking ID, or Reporting ID field could trigger the system to fail with a generic error message. This enhancement validates searches before execution and provides you with immediate guidance when search criteria are too broad.

Wildcard searches are still supported; the wildcard character (*) can continue to be used in combination with other search text, for example, smith* or *corp. What is no longer permitted is submitting a standalone wildcard (*) in the Name, Tracking ID, or Reporting ID search fields. Wildcards must now be paired with additional characters to narrow the search.

This update means less waiting and clearer direction, so you can get to the information you need with fewer steps.

A clearer sign-in experience for single sign-on users

We've improved the sign-in experience for SSO users whose authentication cannot be completed successfully. Previously, you may have been redirected to the standard username-and-password login page when your SSO identity could not be resolved after authenticating. The updated experience ensures that authentication failures redirect to an existing SSO-aware page that provides context-specific guidance based on whether the issue can be resolved through another authentication attempt.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Moody's representative.

Reset column widths in one click

This release adds a Reset Columns button to Grid Review tables that support user-resizable columns. Once you change the width of one or more columns, the Reset Columns button becomes available above the table. Selecting the button immediately restores all columns in that table to their default widths.
